Pepe's Farms is a third generation family farm now owned and operated by Gary Pepe. Starting with his grandfather, Thomas Pepe, Gary shares with us his fond memories of growing up and learning the trade in his grandfather's gardens in Shelton, CT. Gary learned from his family how to grow Italian beans and tomatoes. With roots from Sao Paulo Brazil and Abruzzi Italy, Gary has incorporated the traditions of his ancestors into his farming practice and cooking. Ask Gary about his mean tomato sauce that he learned to make at 8 year old. Expanding his farm, Gary also now grows a wide variety of apples, peaches and nectarines.
