Danielle LaRose, founder and owner of The Harmony Candle Shop, is sure to LIGHT up your day! Of Danielle's 40+ homemade candle options, each is handcrafted from soybeans and free of phthalates, lead, and zinc. So, upon lighting that wick, you'll feel true harmony at home knowing your health is also safe.
With an impressive background of 30+ years in advertising, marketing, and graphic design, these hardcore skills helped her launch a magnifi-SCENT-ly successful business complete with a line of spa products as well. What is a weekly bubble bath lit by candles, without a natural oatmeal and shea butter soap or silk-smooth face mask anyway?
Her personal journey and love of business has led to magnifi-SCENT success. Today, she's excited to operate a company that represents her so well and combines her skills, knowledge, and passions. She also enjoys meeting fellow candle connoisseurs at the Regional Market and sharing tips and tricks so candles have the best burn and life! All the while she continues to work as the Marketing and Membership Director at a country club in Syracuse.
After surviving through depression, grief, and a traumatic accident, Danielle found healing and harmony through her nature walks on the Green Lakes Deer Run Trail and quickly realized she wanted to share this new sense of peace with others who may also be struggling. Deciding that candles were the perfect item to launch her business, promoting spiritual healing would surely help others relax.
While the full business name, Harmony Candle Shop at Deer Run Crystal Canyon, is a lengthly one, its name has great meaning to Danielle. Deer Run, the very trail where she found initial comfort, begins in her yard and offers a lovely 2.5 mile walk behind her home. And with her house in Fayetteville, NY gracefully sitting on land once known as Crystal Canyon, she learned it was due to the mica that resembles crystal which is scattered along the cliffs, hills, and valleys.
Any item purchased, including other gifts such as scarves or totes, has a positive impact too. A percentage of all sales are donated annually to Sidewalk Angles Foundation which supports 25+ no-kill shelters.
