About Her Business

BAKE it happen! Just like female-founder Nataliya Doney, of Nataliya's Sweets gluten-free bakery.

Nataliya's love for baking started in her grandmother's kitchen, as she was constantly baking some kind of Eastern European or unique treats. The smells always enticed her growing up and when Nataliya was diagnosed with Celiac disease later in life, she thought her life had stopped. “I love sweets, cakes, and pastries, and realizing that I couldn’t have most of them anymore made me sad so I began exploring a gluten-free life. Listening to specialists, reading books and articles about gluten, and how I could replace regular flour with gluten-free flour, and as a result I am where I am now. A life without gluten is not a tasteless life. Some of my goodies like biscotti, scones, or mini pies are better than regular ones with gluten.”

Nataliya Doney, isn't only a lover of sweets, she's a lifelong learner, an expert of all things sweet, and founder of Nataliya's Sweets, a gluten-free bakery. Macarons are her favorite dessert and her specialty so much so that she spent an entire year mastering their makeup...and it shows! “Macarons are my passion, and I can tell you that they're my absolute favorite dessert. Especially since macarons are originally gluten-free. It took me a whole year to improve them and to be satisfied. Now I can tell you without hesitation that my macarons can stand in the same line with famous French brands.”

Nataliya transformed some disappointing news into something SWEET...and not just for herself, but for all of us! Spot her by her stacked high-top cake made completely of brightly colorful Macarons and start channeling our inner-French tomorrow while shopping for delectable European treats. She'll be waiting for all you sweet tooths between weekly!

Ukrainian Relief Efforts

Being a Ukranian native, Natiya has donated 100% of March profits to relief efforts in Ukraine. Growing increasingly concerned about her family overseas, she’s using her business as a means to provide support. With the conflict escalating daily she explained the continuous work needed to identify where funds are most needed. She’ll continue to donate all profits through March 19th and a portion of her profits in the following weeks as well.

3/12/22 Update: “I’ve been sending money to my church because my hometown has become a station for refugees trying to transfer to Poland and other countries. I try to help them by sending packages of food and money to the community as well as jackets for those serving in the army. Also, a maternity ward and children’s hospital was bombed earlier this week. Many kids are now orphans. This week, I’ll connect with more people to figure out how my husband and I can help to address this issue.”

3/19/22 Update: “I’ve already sent money to church in my town Ternopil western part of Ukraine, what hosts refugees from eastern Ukraine. They use those money for transportation, food and first aid for people, who lost everything. Some of those people are moving to European countries, some decided to stay in western Ukraine, and church help them to find apartments. Also tomorrow we will deliver some amount of money to orphan home in Ternopil where were arrived about 30 orphans from Eastern Ukraine. Thank you very much to everyone for the help, for considering the pain of my motherland country.”
